You are invited to participate in a research study to determine skin care and skin cancer prevention habits of college students and young professionals. The survey will take 5 minutes to complete and will ask you questions about your current skin care and sun protection habits.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States and melanoma, a specific type of skin cancer, disproportionately effects young people. This study will help us better understand current skin care and sun safety practices amongst college students and young professionals and allow dermatologists to better understand how to reduce the risk of skin cancer. Risks of participation are minimal as responses will be anonymous.

Please understand your participation is voluntary and you have the right to withdraw your consent or discontinue participation at any time without penalty. Specifically, your current or future medical care at Mayo Clinic will not be jeopardized if you choose not to participate. Responses will remain anonymous and remain confidential

You may contact the Mayo Clinic IRB or research subject advocate regarding any questions or complaints by calling
(507) 266-4000 or e-mailing researchsubjectadvocate@mayo.edu. Study approved by the Mayo clinic Institutional Review Board (IRB# 18-007342)
